   Highlight tracks include the dizzyingly strange "Wax and Wane", the emotionally indescribable "Blind Dumb Deaf" and probably the catchiest track on the album, "But I'm Not". age (as this reviewer believes they did), Cocteau Twins' debut album "Garlands" is a great album on its own merits, they had yet to find their sound, but this sound has /5(86).

   Cocteau Twins were an innovative and influential Scottish dream pop band. Forming in in Grangemouth, Scotland, UK (the name taken from an obscure song by fellow Scots Simple Minds), they built a sound based on woozy atmospherics and singer Elizabeth Fraser's unmatchable vocals, most of which featured lyrics of made-up words and words plucked at random from the dictionary.
